William C. Stalions, P.A.
What is a lawyer? Black’s Law Dictionary defines a lawyer as a person learned in the law; as an attorney, counsel or solicitor. Any person who prosecutes or defends causes in courts of record or other judicial tribunals of the United States, or of any of the states, or whose business it is to give legal advice in relation to any cause or matter whatever.
For more than 30 years I have focused my legal practice on the first part of that definition representing businesses and individuals in the Federal Courts and the courts of the State of Florida. The time has come to shift focus to the second part of that definition and give legal advice and counsel in relation to any legal cause or matter for which I feel qualified.
Webster’s defines a lawyer as “a person whose job is to guide and assist people in matters relating to the law”. Representation in court litigation is sometimes not the most effective assistance to a client. Often the most valuable assistance to a client is the counsel and advice that can avoid litigation completely.
